Last Friday,we had the first excursion for this summer. We went to the Milton House Museum.It was so exciting and interesting and it was also helpful to learn about the "Underground Railroad" for us.
The Underground Railroad was a way to freedom and light. The Milton House is a part of it. It help slaves to keep hidden. The master provided foods, shelter and clothes to slaves until they could escape. It looked like a family hotel to all appearances.It had three floors.There were several rooms and a general grocer.They lived as a ordinary family with a family hotel.It exhibits a lot of stuffs what they used that time. Actually the Milton House helped so many slaves.
This trip is a great experience ,and I like it.
