Goodwill

On Friday, we went to Goodwill to learn about how this company works. And after that, we went to Rotary's Garden.
Goodwill was built in 1902 to help poor people who does not have working experiences so they could get a job easily after it. Their mission is to help people and the environment because they are always trying to reuse, recycle and reduce. They receive the average of 100 - 500 donations per day and some of them are not good like animals and bombs. They also receive old televisions and they prefer to keep it there instead of do not accept and people throw it away in the streets or other places. In the Janesville store, they have 60-80 workers. The logo of Goodwill is called "Smiling G".
Teri gave us the challenge: find whatever is written in the paper that we took. After finding it, we took a picture and....................... here we go!

After going to Goodwill, we went to the Rotary's Garden. That place is really beautiful!

  1. Lucas, getting the background of Goodwill and really understanding WHY it is a store (rather than just looking at it like a business) is very valuable and really provides insight. Nice job on remembering the statistics, and way to go on the photo hunt challenge, your pictures made me laugh! Thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs of the park, as well!

  2. Rotary’s Garden is a wonderful place! Different plants and flowers, another ones I had never seen live. So many benches we could seat and spend all day long there because so peaceful it was.
And what were our tries to take the perfect photo? Hahaha
