I
had already saw in several movies the 4th of July celebration. But
it was first time in it. I could realize how import is this holiday for
American people. I and realized so many times. For 3 days. 5 times in
Whitewater downtown. So much America.
On
July 3rd afternoon all group went to downtown, so the tutors told us
some stories about the Independency Day. And by the night we went back to enjoy
the carnival. But there was almost nobody in there! But we had some food and
even a ride!
The
4th of July was such a long and busy day! We woke up early to meet
Ron Binning. Me, the other Lucas (Lucas two, Zaza, whatever) and Lu spent the entire
day with him and his family. So, it was parade time! And more than watch it, we were IN the parade! We were in Ron's care all way long. I was so ashamed! We went to downtown carnival again and after that,
we watched Brazil vs Colombia in Ron’s house. The match was so intense! That
moment was great because Ron and his family are not “soccer people”. So they
had a lot of questions about the game, and we were glad to explain! Back to downtown,
we saw the beautiful fireworks presentation. So nice!
In
the next day, we were back again in downtown with Erica and Missy. That was a
quick one. Erica taught it was our first time there(!!!) hahaha. But the good
part is that a had delicious pepperoni sticker at Topper’s. Certainly, I will
go back there for more! And on the way
back to UWW we so the fireworks again.
That
was my 3-days Independency Day!
I didn't know what to do when I saw you 3 in the car, at the parade!
ReplyDeleteWave!
ReplyDeleteLucas, what an exciting opportunity to be able to be IN the parade! There's no need to be ashamed or embarrassed; it's an honor! Your host family sounds wonderful! Will you all be seeing more of them throughout the year?
