Another interesting thing i saw this week was a movie called "Mighty Times: The Children's March". This movie shows another important fact in the american history. All begins with reverent Martin Luther King. The reverent was trying to do something to call the attentions to the segregation in Birmingham, Alabama. This city in this time was the most racist city in America. But when he tried, he was arrested. King called the people to protest with him, but no one comes. He tried again, calling the people to go to the jail with him. Again, none of the adults showed some interest. But, the unsuspected thing happens, the children showed interest in the protest. In the beginning King and another's leaders they don't want the children to participate, because is to dangerous. But the time has passed and they have failed to prohibit the children to participate. They all want the same thing, equal rights, just laws, and they have a anxiety about change! So the children march in a non violent protest. In the first day 973 children was arrested without violence. But in the second day the police leader by chief Bull Connor uses excessive violence, beating, unleashing dogs and using fireman hose to "control" the children. The jail became full with children and teenagers and five thousand of children was arrested. The notice arrives id dc and president Kennedy and in the end the power of the children won that fight.
